House Rules

The Upper Room Collective is a co-working environment. The space encourages participation amongst its members, while also encouraging a strong and fair work ethic. In order to make the space enjoyable for all, Membership comes with the following rules and responsibilities:


SPACE & NOISE

  • The Upper Room Collective is a shared office, community, and event space.

  • Be kind and show respect to both members and visitors. Let’s strive to use the space as a quiet and focused work environment.

    • Keep conversations on the phone, or with other co-workers to a reasonably low volume

    • Ring volume on mobile phones should be turned down to a level that doesn’t disturb other members.

  • Do not remove or touch personal belongings of other co-workers. If you think that it is a misplaced item, kindly approach contact The Upper Room Collective for assistance.

  • Take good care of everything in the space. If you break it, you will be charged for it.

  • Strictly no smoking within the premises.

  • No burning of incense, candles and similar items

FOOD & DRINKS

  • Food and drinks are recommended to be consumed in the pantry area

GUESTS

  • Members must be physically present with guests at all times

  • Members are liable for the guests they bring in

FAIR USE OF MEETING ROOMS

  • Meeting rooms should be booked in advance using the available credits

  • Meeting rooms can be booked in 30 minute slots

  • Every 30 minute slot will consume 50 credits from your membership's monthly quota

  • Meeting rooms may be used for meetings and not for other work. Virtual meetings are also valid

CLEANLINESS

  • Members are expected to keep the desks and common areas clean.

  • Please recycle where possible. Recycling bins can be found in basement 2 of the building.

  • Observe basic meal manners. The microwave should be cleaned after use. Also, do ensure that food is disposed / stored properly.

  • Please ensure that all rubbish are cleared by the end of day to ensure that the premises remain clean, pest-free and hygienic for all members

  • The common fridge should only be used for temporary storage for food and drinks. The Upper Room Collective will not be held liable for the loss of any items that are placed in the common fridge. The Upper Room Collective reserves the rights to clear any food / drink that is in fridge if it deems necessary (e.g. expired food, spoilt food)

  • All personal items left in the fridge will be cleared on Fridays

  • Please label your items in the fridge to prevent potential confusion/loss of item

SECURITY / NETWORK

  • Make sure access doors are closed at all times. 24/7-Security relies on it.

  • No illegal torrenting, piracy or downloading of prohibited materials.

  • If you need to download or upload something extremely large, please let others know, or do it out of office hours
